Search Engine
Use the search bar above to search for keywords across 860+ digitized magazine issues. Full-text search is possible by importing magazine data to an Elasticsearch engine built on nginx server, with custom analyzers for Latin, Greek, Arabic, and Cyrillic alphabets. Text was extracted via Optical Character Recognition software from scanned issues (by us or existing repositories), and their result accuracy depends on the original scan's resolution. We hope that the search functions will act as a discovery tool rather than a definitive index. Results display excerpts with highlighted terms. Note also that a failed search does not guarantee absence, and that a successful hit requires verification against the source image.
